QUICK PROJECTS AND HANDS-ON ACTIVITIES: HOW TO BE MORE ORGANISED IN 2021

We’re all happily saying goodbye to 2020 and are ready to focus on the promise of the coming year. But how can you make the most of it and beat those sneaky January blues?

We think that getting organised and prepared for the year ahead is a great way to start things off on the right foot. So, here are a few fun do-it-yourself projects that you can do well ahead of time to beat the future fatigue and improve your organisation…

HAVE A CARDMAKING SESSION

You may have already done this over the festive season with a Christmas stamp or two to send cards to your loved ones, but why not bash out enough birthday cards, valentines’ cards and more for the whole year? Our range of craft and cardmaking products are perfect if you’re thinking of rubber stamping them for a professional finish. It’ll save you time down the line, and it’s one less thing to worry about.

GET A SIGNATURE STAMP

Once you’ve made all those cards, you’ll have to sign them all – think of the hand cramp. Instead, consider buying a signature stamp which includes all the family names – it’ll shave loads of time off your special occasion preparation.

DIY YOUR DIARY

If you don’t have a chance to run out and buy a new 2021 diary to organise all your meetings and things, then why not make your own? There are websites where you can personalise your diary or planner, but you can make one at home too. All you need is an old notebook you haven’t used and some fancy penmanship or a stamp to signify the date – simple.

MAKE A CHORES CALENDAR FOR YOUR KIDS

A mess can make us feel unorganised and stressed more than most things, so getting your kids involved in the clear-up can really calm things down and instil good habits too. Create a calendar with jobs for each child to do. You can reward them with a gold star and have a bigger prize for every 10 stamps they get.

WRITE UP YOUR TO-DO LIST

We love it when you can put a big line through a completed task – it’s therapeutic, and sometimes you can feel the weight lifting off your shoulders. Having a central place to write down all the jobs that need doing or bills that need paying is a simple way you can keep on track. Try installing a whiteboard or chalkboard in the kitchen or your home office. Then, when a new idea or job comes to mind, you can write it down. The best bit is you can wipe the job out of your life when it is complete.

You can start to become more organised by being more prepared, and these five easy projects are sure to help your 2021 be more stress and fatigue-free.
